16ft Taylor 1975 150 hp Mercury Speed Boat needs transom work no title

Up for consideration is an old Taylor boat. Comes with original color matched trailer and 1975 1500 150 hp mercury. It measures about 16ft long with a little over 6 ft beam. I purchased this at a local estate sale about a month ago directly from a farm estate of which it was sitting in the barn. I live in a condo so I had to rent a spot at a local storage facility. Cleaned it up a bit and washed it...The previous owner had new carpeting and seating. It has recreational tags and looks to have been used in 2012.  I bought a new marine battery purchased a new spark plug wire put some fresh gas and tried to start it. It turns over but seems to have no life meaning no spark it is flat. The transom looks to have been repaired at one time and is in need again. Needs a transom support bar etc. The boat is rated for 175hp motor. Looks good just needs some work. I don't have the experience nor the desire to be monkeying around with the thing. I buy sell antiques and thought this would be a fun project but I don't feel like doing the work like tinkering with the engine etc...looks like fun on TV but in real life I have other things to do.
